The table was first created by Abby Krich in 2004 when she was an intern at BPVS from Cornell University. BPVS summer interns under the direction of Becca Martin update the “stats” for emissions deferral and to incorporate the latest annual production from our customer sample. This year MCLA senior, Yvonne Camacho, completed the analysis and report.  We’re noticing a trend in recent years where summer months all increased in average production while all of the winter months decreased. October has stayed the same; many people have noticed rather dismal October weather the last few years.

Why is updating this table each year important? First the fuel source mix of utilities providing electricity in western MA changes each year. Second many of our customers want to accurately know the environmental benefits of their clean energy production. Finally it is apparent from potential customers who are shopping around that our competitors grossly over estimate the production of PV in their presentations.

You can find the average monthly tallies, plus the updated environmental benefit statistics in our Clean Energy Stats section in the left column on our home page!
